At the Zia Group, we use the phrase “Real Estate. Real Results.” to highlight our top-notch client care and real estate expertise. We are passionate about real estate, but our passion to help people extends far beyond real estate. We want to make a difference in our community and around the world, so we set aside 25% of company profit to help those around us. We use the phrase “Real Estate. Real Impact.” to highlight this commitment.
We feel honored to come along side incredible people around the world. One of these people is a woman named Meselu. Meselu lives in Ethiopia and worked in prostitution to feed and clothe her children for school. An organization in Ethiopia we support— called Woman at Risk—gives women like Meselu an opportunity to come off the street, live in a safe place, and learn the skills for a new job. Meselu now provides for herself and her family in a dignified, stable job. Her son, according to a recent report card, is now top of his class.
We feel privileged to be part of Meselu’s story and the stories of many others around the world and right here in our own backyard by:
- Rehabilitating women caught in the commercial sex trade
- Seeking justice for those in human trafficking
- Sponsoring children living in 3rd-world countries
- Educating and training impoverished families
- Working with special needs children
- Mentoring at-risk youth in our local junior high and high schools
- Supporting low-income families
