Hidden Valley is a wonderful neighborhood nestled between Las Positas Road and the Hope Ranch neighborhood, along Modoc Road. Many different types of homes can be found in this neighborhood, from single-family homes to duplexes and condominiums.
Hidden Valley, as the name implies, is known for being off the beaten track, but is not at all far from benefits of the city, nor all that hard to find. Freeway access both north and south is quite close, and Hidden Valley lies between Goleta and downtown Santa Barbara with easy access to the Mesa and upper State Street areas. Also nearby are Arroyo Burro Beach (also called Hendry’s Beach or Dog Beach), Earl Warren Showgrounds, and the La Cumbre Plaza shopping center. Both the Santa Barbara Golf Club and the La Cumbre Country Club are very near to the neighborhood. Hidden Valley is also home to a beautiful retirement community known as Valle Verde, which is nestled naturally into the neighborhood.
Hidden Valley has very little through-traffic, and has many sidewalks and cul-de-sacs that home buyers with children may enjoy for their safety. Hidden Valley is far enough from the coast to avoid being fogged in as often as the oceanfront neighborhoods, but due to its low elevation also remains cooler in the summer months.
