Santa Barbara Business/Entrepreneurship Tutoring
If you would like to give your son or daughter a head start on the world of business, you may want to consider a business tutor. I teach foundational business principles as well as how to think with an entrepreneurial mind to people of all ages, including:
- High students (or younger) looking to learn about business and how to cultivate entrepreneurship. This is a great way to help your son or daughter differentiate his or herself when applying to college.
- College students starting small businesses, struggling with their business classes, or wanting to supplement their education.
- New business owners looking to be educated in business ethics, management, marketing, or simply wanting help getting their business off the ground
- People looking to start a second career and wanting a customized “crash course” to get them ready
Here is my background:
I am a young, local entrepreneur that actively runs a real estate business in town. I have started several successful companies, and enjoy teaching/tutoring/mentoring other young entrepreneurs by helping them achieve their business goals. My entrepreneurial endeavors started at a young age, when I launched my first successful company at age 16. I was awarded the "Future Entrepreneur of the Year Award" and a corresponding $24,000 scholarship by the NASE (National Association for the Self-Employed). I ran that business full-time while attending Westmont College and graduated with a degree in Enterprise Development and Communication Studies. In addition, I have been featured in numerous publications such as: Self-Employed America Magazine (Cover Story Sep/Oct 2002), Boys’ Life Magazine (Jan. 2004), Westmont Alumni Magazine (Spring 2003), Santa Barbara News- Press (Feb. 18, 2003), & the Pacific Coast Business Times (Sep. 20, 2002). I am also a guest speaker in several college classes every year on Economic Development, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate, and Business Ethics.
My Philosophy:
I believe anyone can become a successful businessperson, regardless of where they are today. Thinking like an entrepreneur, while it can come natural, also can be achieved by retraining the mind. This process takes time, as well as someone like myself working hands-on with you or your student. Business ethics are absolutely critical in today’s world, so included in my tutoring are conversations pertaining to economic development, social entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and general topics on business ethics.
